I found the image significant because it looks like the waitress found herself in a very lonely space even though the space looked like it had once been occupied by many people. From my interpretation it seems as if she felt excessively lonely or overwhelmed by work and that could have been her cause of death. Furthermore the image is taking place in a diner that has been decorated to resemble the retro days. The model's body is placed as a corpse in the middle of the diner that has no clean tables. The first table and bench draw the viewer's eye to the corpse on the floor more towards the center of the image. The lights on the roof provide a white space for the viewers eye to get a break from what is going on in the image. The lighting is very cool toned, almost resembling hospital lighting as if someone is dead.
