Minoru Hirata, "Shining Clothespins"
1963, gelatin silver print
This Image was taken by Minoru Hirata, He is a famous Japanese photographer that worked as a freelance photojournalist In the 1960's and now he is a member of the professional photographers society in Japan. I chose this photograph because of the unique image and It's name. The name of this image was what caught my attention "Shining Clothespins". I looked at this image and I tried to understand it and the more I looked at it the more I realized that the item shes wearing over her head is amazing and unique because its forced focused and it shines and the more you look at it the more you see the clothespins. I thought to myself, maybe the photographer was trying to show people that beauty can come in any possible way if you truly look at it because you don't have to see the models face but focusing on the item that shes wearing that shines over her face shows an essence of beauty. This Image shows something strange and unique and shows something that can capture the attention of anyone and that's what I loved the most about it,and I believe that It shows that art and beauty can be created with anything.
